Peg Perego is Italian, and it shows — in the motor quality, the rubber tires, and the 18-hour charge time that requires you to plan your child's outdoor fun like a catering event. That last part is genuinely inconvenient. Everything else is exceptional.

The 24V dual-motor system is the headline feature. It handles hills, thick grass, gravel, and soggy ground that bogs down 12V motors. Three speed settings — 2.5, 5, and 7 mph — mean you can start a 3-year-old slow and dial it up as they develop confidence and demand to go faster. The rubber tires grip terrain properly rather than skating across it like plastic wheels tend to do. Two kids fit comfortably side by side in the wide rollcage-style cockpit.

At $400–$550, this is not a casual purchase. But context matters: this is also the ride-on that doesn't get replaced after 18 months because the motor burned out on a hill. The build quality and motor longevity are genuinely in a different league from 12V competitors. If you have a yard with any real variation — slopes, grass, gravel — the premium buys you a vehicle that actually works as advertised across the full age range.
